New dates for new Crocheting classes announced
Dates for new ‘Get Hooked on Crochet: the Basics’ workshops have just been announced for the New Year in Birmingham areas of Selly Oak and Harborne.
Mum of 2 and businesswoman, Clare Gordon took to Twitter and Facebook to announce the news.
The dates for the workshops will be Tuesday 12th January 2016 in Harborne and Sunday 17th January 2016 in Selly Oak.
The new and fun workshops will be an introduction to learning how to crotchet and anyone above the age of 8 is welcome to participate.
Clare Gordon says: “The workshops will start with the basics and will then progress onto more complex techniques such as granny squares and creating circular motifs”
“I will have a maximum of 10 people at each workshop so that I can provide as much hands-on help as possible. For the basics workshop, all participants that attend will be given a goody bag containing a crochet hook, ball of yarn and pattern.”
Clare also adds that: “I will also be posting How To videos in my Facebook page in January so that participants can practice at home.”
Even though this will be Gordon’s first time holding these crotchet workshops in the New Year, she is very happy about how well the news of these workshops have been received thus far.
Clare says: “These will be my first crochet workshops and they are already proving to be popular! If there is enough interest, I hope to repeat the workshops throughout the year 2016.”
“The workshops will be very relaxed and very fun, and I hope that I can inspire participants to keep on practicing and get hooked on crochet, as I did!”
Clare also hopes that the love of crocheting goes beyond the workshops that will take place in the New Year, stating that: “I also hope that participants will want to stay in touch with each other after the workshops and form their own social crochet groups, as I think craft is always best when it's shared!”
